Aaron Michael O'Brien - 1977 to 2020-06-26
Aaron Michael O'Brien was born in Orange, California, in 1977, and spent much of his early life in Gwinnett County, Georgia. A gifted athlete, he played varsity soccer at St. Pius X Catholic High School, where he helped win a state championship in 1995, and went on to a four-year soccer scholarship at Campbell University. There he earned both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Business Administration before choosing to attend law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California.
Upon graduation, Aaron elected to take the bar exam in Nevada, intending to practice law in Clark County. After his admission, he began his legal career in the public defender's office, handling criminal defense work for Clark County, and later joined a plaintiff's personal injury law firm in Las Vegas. A serious illness interrupted his practice for a time, and he ultimately returned to Georgia, where he passed the Georgia bar and resumed practicing law in the greater metropolitan area.
In 2014, Aaron joined his father's law firm in Norcross, Georgia. Over many years of trial practice, his reputation grew as a trial attorney whose charm and wit engaged jurors and the court alike, with whom he maintained great rapport. He passed away on June 26, 2020, at his home in Suwanee, Georgia, remembered as a loss to his family, his law firm, and the practice of law.
