Alan Burke Andrews

Alan Burke Andrews was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 4, 1943, and grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1961, where he excelled in both academics and athletics, earning varsity letters in football and baseball and All Conference Border City League honors as a halfback. He went on to the University of Michigan, where he earned both his BBA and his MBA, and later attended law school at the University of San Francisco.

Mr. Andrews built his legal career in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he became a successful practicing attorney. He served as an Assistant United States Prosecuting Attorney before opening his own practice, in which he specialized in First Amendment law. An endlessly generous and forgiving man, he was remembered by many friends and colleagues for his warmth and character.

Alan Burke Andrews died on August 15, 2020, in Las Vegas at the age of 77.
