Alan Raymond Harter

Alan Raymond Harter was born on March 5, 1937, in Cedar City, Utah. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from Utah State University and went on to graduate with honors from George Washington Law School, laying the foundation for a legal career that would span decades in the State of Nevada.

Alan began practicing law in Nevada in the fall of 1970. Over the course of his career he served as a Deputy District Attorney for Clark County, Nevada, and later as District Attorney for Esmeralda County, Nevada, all while maintaining his own private practice in Las Vegas. In his private work he focused on family law and criminal defense, dedicating himself to the clients and communities he served.

Alan Raymond Harter passed away on December 12, 2020, in St. George, Utah. He is remembered for his long service to the Nevada legal community and for the professional dedication that marked his years in practice.
