Arthur H. Olsen

Arthur H. Olsen was born on February 13, 1914, in Chicago, Illinois. He pursued his higher education at DePaul University before entering the legal profession, being admitted to the bar in 1952. Over the decades that followed, he built a career in the law in Nevada, where he made his home.

Beyond his work as an attorney, Olsen devoted himself to public service. A Democrat, he was elected to the Nevada General Assembly, serving two separate terms - from 1964 to 1966 and again from 1970 to 1972 - where he brought his legal training to bear on the work of the state legislature.

Arthur H. Olsen died on August 8, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 100. His long life spanned a full century of service to his profession and to his adopted state.
