Brett I. Johnson

Brett Ira Johnson built a legal career distinguished by intellectual rigor and relentless effort. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho School of Law, where he graduated second in his class and served as Editor-in-Chief of the law review. He later completed an advanced LL.M. degree at the New York University School of Law. His academic path also included a bachelor's degree in biology from Black Hills State University and a secondary education degree from Utah State University.

After law school, Brett clerked at the Idaho Supreme Court and went on to practice complex litigation and intellectual property law for many years. He was admitted to practice in numerous jurisdictions - Idaho in 2001, Colorado and Utah in 2002, Nevada in 2011, and Alabama - and was published in multiple law journals over the course of his career. Colleagues remembered him for the incredible diligence and hard work that marked his professional accomplishments.

Brett Ira Johnson was born on September 2, 1969, and died on February 10, 2015, at the age of 45. He is remembered for the intensity, humor, and determination he brought to his work and to those around him.
