Brian K. Griffith - 1950-08-21 to 2013-07-12

Brian Kenneth Griffith was a longtime Nevada resident whose path to the law came after a rich and varied life. Raised in Lovelock, he graduated from Pershing County High School and earned a bachelor of science in economics from the University of Nevada. From an early age he was drawn to public affairs, serving as a legislative intern to then-Lieutenant Governor Harry Reid during the 1970 legislative session and writing articles for the Reno Evening Gazette.

In the early 1990s, Brian decided to pursue the law and found his life's work. He graduated from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego in 1996, establishing a practice there that same year before relocating his practice to Las Vegas in 1998. He was known for a creative and forward-looking approach to his work, exploring the use of video-conferencing for trial testimony - a novel method at the time that was reported in the Las Vegas press.

Brian was noted for his humor, curiosity and determination, and he provided inspiration to many of the people who sought his legal services. A lover of the arts, he was appointed in 2012 to the board of directors of the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts in Reno. He passed away on July 12, 2013.
