Brian L. Hall - December 16, 1933 to August 10, 2013
Brian Hall was born in Santa Cruz, California, on December 16, 1933, and moved with his family to Reno, Nevada, at age six. He graduated from Reno High School with the class of 1951 and joined the Navy in 1952, serving on the island of Guam. After completing his military service, he returned to Reno and the University of Nevada, graduating in 1957. He went on to earn an LLB degree from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he worked for Senator Bible, running an elevator at the Senate Office Building.
Brian returned to Reno in 1960, where he served as a law clerk for the Supreme Court in Carson City for a year. He then entered private law practice in Reno at the law firm of Barry, Buck & Hall, where he practiced until his retirement in 1995.
Beyond the law, Brian was an avid skier, traveler, cowboy, hunter, and community activist. Following his retirement, he devoted the next years of his life to ministry, pastoring the Cohasset Neighborhood Church with a heart for outreach and a passion for meeting the spiritual and physical needs of others, including ministry for the incarcerated, the homeless, youth in need, and crisis pregnancy.
