Brian P. Morrison

Brian P. Morrison was born on November 27, 1954, in Norwich, Connecticut, the son of John J. and Irene Morrison. He graduated from St. Bernard Boys' High School in Uncasville, Connecticut in 1972 and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1976. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, in 1979.

After living in southern California for several years, Brian relocated to Las Vegas, where he became a longtime resident and was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1990. Over the course of a varied career, he taught college-level courses at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, served as an acting judge, pursued a number of business ventures, and maintained a private law practice. In 2015 he opened a successful tax preparation business and continued working right up until the day of his passing.

Colleagues and friends sought his counsel for his deep intellect and keen insight, and he was remembered as a true gentleman who was enormously generous to others. He treasured several long friendships during his life, including with his colleague Robert Stovall. Brian passed away in Las Vegas on September 16, 2021.
