Bruce A. McKissick

Bruce A. McKissick was a Nevada attorney who practiced in Reno. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on December 31, 1980, he spent his career in northern Nevada's legal community across the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. His name was carried by the Reno litigation firm McKissick Van Walraven & Harris, which appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of Nevada in matters such as Nelson v. California State Automobile Association Inter-Insurance Bureau (1998).

He was born on December 9, 1955, a son of Howard F. McKissick Jr., a prominent Reno attorney and longtime Nevada legislator who was a co-founder of the Reno firm Springer, McKissick and Hug. In building his own practice in Reno, Bruce McKissick continued a family tradition of service in the northern Nevada bar. He died on September 24, 2007, at the age of 51.
