Catherine K. Ramsey

Catherine Kay Ramsey, known to many as Cathy, built her legal career in Southern Nevada after graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. She was licensed to practice law in Nevada in 2002 and remained an active member of the State Bar of Nevada throughout her career.

Ramsey devoted much of her professional life to public service as a prosecutor. She served as a deputy district attorney for Clark County and as a prosecutor for the City Attorney's Office in North Las Vegas, handling the work of representing the community in its courts.

In 2011, she was elected to the North Las Vegas Municipal Court, becoming the first woman to hold that judicial position. Catherine K. Ramsey was born September 23, 1964, in Fairborn, Ohio, and died January 18, 2021.
