In Memoriam

Charles L. Titus - 1948 to September 2009

Charles Lynn Titus was an Omaha native who built a distinguished legal career before making Las Vegas his home. For years he was a prominent trial attorney in Omaha, where he was well known in the courtroom, and in 1994 he relocated to Las Vegas to continue his practice of law in Nevada.

He was a product of Creighton institutions, graduating from Creighton Prep in 1966, Creighton University in 1969, and Creighton University School of Law in 1972 - a foundation that shaped a lifetime of advocacy. Beyond the practice of law, Charles was also a published author, having recently released his first novel, "Vegas Diary: A Dish Served Cold," and was at work researching a second book.

Colleagues and friends remembered a man of wide-ranging interests and energy. An accomplished musician, he had played keyboards in a rock band called "The Intruders," and he was an avid golfer, scuba diver and skier who had earned a black belt in karate. He is survived by his wife, Rose. Charles L. Titus disappeared while scuba diving off the coast of the Cayman Islands in September 2009 and is presumed to have died there.
