Claude Edward Zobell Jr

Claude Edward Zobell Jr. graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Social Work before being accepted into the J. Reuben Clark Law School. Upon completing his legal education, he found employment with the Las Vegas, Nevada law firm of Harry M. Reid and Bruce Alverson, launching a legal career rooted in the Silver State.

His work brought him into the orbit of Nevada public life. He went on to serve as Chief of Staff to Harry M. Reid after Reid won a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and he later worked as a lobbyist for Nevada Power Company - roles that drew on his legal training and his deep familiarity with Nevada's political and regulatory landscape.

In the later chapter of his career, Zobell relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where he served as legal counsel for the famed Peabody Hotel. He passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 71.
