Craig D. Creel
Craig D. Creel, Esq. grew up in Las Vegas and built a respected legal career in Nevada and the Pacific Northwest. A 1982 graduate of the McGeorge School of Law - where he won the Mock Trial competition - he was admitted to practice before the Nevada, California, and Oregon Supreme Courts.
He applied his intellect, humor, and dedication to helping hundreds of defendants as a Public Defender in Clark County, Nevada; served as a medical malpractice attorney for St. Paul Insurance in Portland, Oregon; and worked as a corporate and personal defense attorney in private practice in Las Vegas, where he was roundly respected in the local legal community.
Before his legal career, Craig was a trail-blazing athlete in Las Vegas. He was an acclaimed pitcher recruited by the Kansas City Royals out of high school to play catcher, Nevada's number one-ranked high school tennis player and a member of the UNLV tennis team, the city's Punt-Pass-and-Kick winner, the annual Free Throw Shooter winner, a state basketball champion, and a scratch golfer widely recognized as one of the best amateur golfers in the city. He died at home in Wake Forest, North Carolina, at the age of 64, after a courageous fight with brain cancer.
