David Duane Johnson

David "Dave" Johnson was born August 17, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1975 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the Creighton School of Law in 1978, launching a lifelong legal career in Nevada.

Dave became a well-known and highly respected attorney in the field of gaming law and corporate governance. He served as Nevada's Chief Deputy Attorney General - Gaming Division, and later joined the law firm of Schreck, Jones, Bernhard, Woloson and Godfrey. He subsequently went on to serve as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel for several major gaming manufacturing companies, including Bally Technologies, Anchor Gaming, International Game Technology (IGT), and eventually Everi Holdings Inc.

Beyond the law, Dave was remembered for his extraordinary kindness, quick wit, and sense of humor, as well as his lifelong passion for music - his stereo systems, vinyl record collections, and guitars - and his love of fast cars and motorcycles. He passed away April 18, 2019, at the age of 67.
