David G. Hermann

David G. Hermann was born in Hopkins, Minnesota, and built a life of service that spanned the military, law, and community. He enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduating from high school and went on to work for the National Security Agency in electronic communications and cryptography. Over the course of his Air Force career, which focused on Command and Control Operations, Test and Evaluation, and Secure Communications, he developed extensive knowledge of Nevada's training and testing ranges. He achieved the rank of Captain before retiring in 1992, with his final active duty posting at Nellis Air Force Base.

Mr. Hermann was a lifelong learner whose education reflected his wide-ranging interests. He earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Digital Equipment Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Albany, New York, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He attended Colorado University in Boulder, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. In 2003, he completed his Doctorate of Jurisprudence at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and became an attorney at law.

Drawing on his deep familiarity with Air Force operations, Mr. Hermann worked for KT Consulting and TTC as a Range Training Officer supporting Air Force exercises. As an attorney, he dedicated his time to Nevada Legal Services, where he was recognized for outstanding pro bono service in 2020. He passed away on March 8, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 66.
