David M. Norris

David M. Norris, known to many as Dave, was born on July 12, 1950, the son of James K. Norris and Lorraine M. Norris. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, and soon after served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Following his military service, Dave attended the University of Washington Law School, where he earned his law degree and was admitted to the Bar in 1978. Over more than 40 years of practicing law, he worked in different areas of the law representing a variety of clients, eventually specializing in Utility Law.

Dave retired from the Nevada Attorney General's Office as Senior Consumer Advocate Attorney in 2020. He truly loved what he did, always striving to do his very best by the consumer. He passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025.
