Deborah L Wilson

Deborah Lynn Wilson earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from UCLA in 1987 and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law in 1993, where she was recognized with the American Jurisprudence Award for Contracts during her first year of study. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 4, 1993, she began her legal career by clerking for the Honorable Judge Charles Thompson and practicing law in Las Vegas.

After her years in Nevada, Ms. Wilson returned to Denver and joined the firm of Springman, Braden, Wilson & Pontius, P.C. in 1997, where she ultimately became Managing Partner. Over a distinguished career spanning three decades, she concentrated her practice on real estate and landlord advocacy, and she was a devoted leader within the legal and housing communities. She served as a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Colorado State Bar, the Denver Bar Association, and the Colorado Creditor's Bar Association, and she served as a former chairperson of the ABA GP/Solo Real Estate Group.

Regarded as an exemplary lawyer with a brilliant legal mind, Ms. Wilson received many honors throughout her career. She was named to the RMHA Lifetime Achievement Award and inducted into the AAMD Hall of Fame in 2020, received the 2022 Housing Carrier Award, and was consistently named a 5280 Top Lawyer. She was also a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Leadership Training. Deborah Lynn Wilson passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 59.
