Diamond Sharell Thomas

Diamond Sharell Thomas was a Las Vegas, Nevada attorney whose path to the law began far from the desert. Born on August 16, 1994, she was raised as the daughter of Damon Hatcher and Mia Y. Diggins, and she pursued her early academic ambitions in Indiana, earning a bachelor's degree in political science from Butler University in Indianapolis in 2017.

Drawn to the practice of law, Diamond continued her studies in Nevada at the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, from which she graduated in December 2019. Her legal education laid the foundation for her admission to the State Bar of Nevada, and she joined the ranks of the state's newest practitioners as she began her career in the Las Vegas legal community.

Diamond passed away on February 28, 2022, after a year-long fight with acute myeloid leukemia, with her loving family by her side. Though her career in the law was brief, her dedication in reaching the bar and her commitment to her profession are remembered by those who knew her.
