Dianna DeBeau Hegeduis - 1953 to 2011-05-08
Dianna Marie Hegeduis was born in 1953 in Dallas and made her home in Las Vegas, where she lived for 35 years. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1992 and went on to earn her law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1995, entering the profession with a letter of recommendation from Sen. Harry Reid.
Over the course of her legal career in Nevada, Dianna served as a chief deputy attorney general for the State of Nevada. During her tenure with the attorney general's office, she successfully argued several cases that established current law and continue to be cited by the Nevada Supreme Court.
She later served as executive director and general counsel for the Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Dianna passed away on May 8, 2011.
