Donald Ray Liles

Donald Ray Liles was born November 6, 1937, to Floyd and Lizzie (Moody) Liles. A 1956 graduate of Sterling High School, he continued his studies at Cameron State College before earning his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1966.

After completing law school, Liles moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 10, 1967, and built a career as a successful trial lawyer. His years of practice in Nevada established the foundation of a legal career that would span decades.

In 1977, Liles relocated to Woodward, Oklahoma, where he spent the next 35 years practicing law and serving as City Attorney. Alongside his legal work he pursued ranching and business interests, including serving as Vice President of Rolling Plains Ag Compost from 2012 until he sold his portion in 2014. Donald Ray Liles died August 29, 2019, at the age of 81.
