Edward Cornelius Lubbers - 1952-02-02 to 2018-04-02

Edward Cornelius Lubbers earned his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Liberal Arts and Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle in 1973, and went on to receive his Juris Doctor with distinction from John Marshall Law School in 1976, where he was elected to the Order of John Marshall. He began his legal career in Peru, Illinois, and later spent twelve years practicing on LaSalle Street in Chicago.

In 1988, Edward relocated with his family to Nevada, where he was admitted to the State Bar and built his practice as The Lubbers Law Group, which he led until his passing. Over three decades in Southern Nevada, he became a respected figure in the local legal and business community.

Edward was active in civic and professional life beyond his practice, serving on boards and organizations including the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and KNPR radio. He received NAIOP's inaugural Spotlight Award in 1995 and was recognized as the first Citizen of the Month honored by Mayor Oscar Goodman.
