Edward Everett Hale - 1924-02-12 to 1995-12-31
Edward Everett Hale was a Nevada attorney who built one of the state's most prominent law firms. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1963, he practiced as a real estate lawyer before founding the firm that would bear his name - Hale Lane - in Reno in 1971. What began as a practice handling real estate transactions grew, under his name, into a cornerstone of the Nevada legal community.
Over the years the firm expanded well beyond its original focus, adding business law, a regulatory group, a bankruptcy group, a litigation team, and estate planning services. It developed a strong litigation and natural resources practice serving clients throughout Nevada and the broader West, and eventually maintained offices in Reno, Carson City, and Las Vegas. The firm he started grew into one of the largest in Nevada, later becoming Hale Lane Peek Dennison and Howard.
A native of Palo Alto, California, Edward Everett Hale was born on February 12, 1924. His legal career spanned more than three decades in Nevada, from his admission to the bar through the growth of the firm he founded. He died in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 31, 1995, at the age of 71.
