Emmett W. Lally

Emmett W. Lally, born January 1, 1935, in St. Louis, was a respected attorney who spent more than two decades practicing law in southern Nevada. Licensed in both Nevada and Illinois, he practiced in both the public and private sectors over a career that spanned many years.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Lally led a life of wide-ranging service and experience. He served honorably as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, taught the English language in Turkey, and worked as a journalist for United Press International. These pursuits reflected a lifelong passion for history and travel, and he collected stories throughout his younger years that he continued to share for the rest of his life.

A 22-year resident of southern Nevada, Emmett W. Lally passed away on September 22, 2010, at the age of 75. He is remembered for a career and a life marked by curiosity, service, and dedication to his profession.
