Frederick Siegfried Geihs

Frederick Siegfried "Fred" Geihs was born on October 16, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Omaha and went on to earn his law degree from Creighton Law School in 1962, beginning a legal career that would span more than four decades.

Geihs built a wide-ranging practice across the country before making Nevada his home. He served in the Omaha City Attorney's Office and worked as a corporate lawyer for Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, as corporate counsel for Detroit and Northern in Houghton, Michigan, and as corporate counsel for Knudson Mortgage in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He ultimately established his own firm, the Law Offices of Frederick Siegfried Geihs, in Las Vegas, where he practiced principally as a trial lawyer.

Over the course of his career, Geihs was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Nevada Supreme Court. He was recognized several times in the Marquis Who's Who of American Lawyers and the Marquis Who's Who in Finance and Industry. He passed away on April 20, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 70.
