Ginger James Allen

Ginger James Allen built her early legal career in Nevada after graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1989. At law school she earned placement on both the President's and Dean's Honor Rolls and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor fraternity, and she carried that dedication with her when she relocated to Las Vegas that same year to begin practicing law.

In Las Vegas, Ginger practiced as a litigator with the firm Thorndal, Backus, Maupin & Armstrong and was elected to the Board of Directors of the Clark County Bar Association. In 1995, she was appointed a Deputy Attorney General in Nevada's Medicaid Fraud Control unit, where she drew on her considerable litigation experience to prosecute health care fraud across the state.

Though proud of her many professional accomplishments, Ginger was most proud of her pro bono legal work, which focused on meeting the legal needs of lower-income women and children. Her time in Nevada reflected a career marked by capable advocacy and a lasting commitment to service.
