V. Gray Gubler - 1910-01-11 to 1986-06-28

V. Gray Gubler (Vivian Gray Gubler) was among the pioneering members of the Nevada bar, admitted to practice on December 31, 1936. He opened his law office in Las Vegas that same year, establishing himself in the profession during the depths of the Great Depression - a period when the city and its legal community were still in their formative years.

Over the decades that followed, Gubler built one of Las Vegas's enduring family legal legacies. He mentored his son, John G. Gubler, who joined his father's law office and went on to establish his own practice in 1973. The guidance Gray passed to his son - that if he took care of his clients, his clients would take care of him - became a principle that carried forward through the family's continued service to the Las Vegas legal community.

Born January 11, 1910, in Santa Clara, Washington County, Utah, Gubler devoted roughly half a century to the practice of law in Las Vegas. He died June 28, 1986, in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, at the age of 76.
