Gregory D. Corn - 1947-05-12 to 2015-08-26

Gregory D. Corn was born in Reno, Nevada, and graduated from Reno High School in 1965 before earning a Bachelor's Degree in political science from the University of Nevada in 1969. He went on to attend the University of Arizona Law School, where he was active in debate contests nationwide and earned multiple Moot Court championships. While in law school, he studied at American University in Washington, D.C., and interned for U.S. Senator Howard Cannon, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1972.

In 1973, Greg began his legal career serving as Assistant District Attorney in Elko, Nevada, a position he held for approximately three years before opening a private practice with Jack Ames. He later returned to Reno to practice law with James Hardesty, continuing in private practice there until 1991. Greg and his family then returned to Elko, where he practiced until his passing.

Over the course of a 42-year career in the law, Greg truly loved his profession and always sought to do what was fair and just in all matters. He was remembered as a devoted attorney whose dedication to his work and his community spanned decades of service to Nevada.
