Gregory F. Buhyoff

Gregory Francis "Greg" Buhyoff was a Las Vegas attorney whose career centered on intellectual property and trademark law. A native of Newfane, New York, he earned an undergraduate degree in Asian Studies and Linguistics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1985, having also studied at Columbia University and spent a year at the Mandarin Center in Taiwan. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor with distinction from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in 1988.

Over the course of a legal career spanning many decades, Greg practiced with a range of major international and regional firms, including Kojima Law Offices in Tokyo, Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong and Saigon, Weide & Miller in Las Vegas, Hogan Lovells in Vietnam, Harris & Moure in Seattle, Bayramoglu Law Office in Henderson, and AJ Kung Inc Law Office in Las Vegas. Throughout, he also maintained his own practice, the Law Office of Gregory F. Buhyoff in Las Vegas, and collaborated frequently with longtime friends and colleagues.

Greg was widely recognized for his expertise in East and Southeast Asian intellectual property systems, and he was fluent in reading and writing Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese. He participated regularly in International Trademark Association meetings around the world. He passed away on December 27, 2020, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
