In Memoriam

Herbert Louis Waldman - 1939-07-31 to 2004-07-14

Herbert Louis Waldman was a native of Las Vegas, born there on July 31, 1939, when the city was still in its infancy. He lived in the community his entire life, watching it grow around him from the earliest days.

Herb practiced law in Las Vegas for more than 30 years. He was remembered for a kind spirit that, in the words of his family, helped many a troubled soul out of a tight spot, and he was known among those close to him for his dry sense of humor and his amazing intellect.

In time he retired from his practice to pursue a quieter, more peaceful life away from the hustle and bustle of the city, choosing a log cabin at the base of the Jarbidge Wilderness in Idaho where he spent many years hunting, fishing, and enjoying the mountains and the outdoors. Herb liked to say that he never set any goals but he reached them all - the love of his wife, his life, and his family.
