Herman Milo "Buzz" Adams was a longtime Las Vegas attorney whose legal career spanned more than 55 years. Born January 5, 1927, in St. George, Utah, he graduated from Virgin Valley High School in 1945 as salutatorian and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1949. He began law study at USC that fall but withdrew in 1950 following a medical emergency, later enrolling at the UCLA School of Law, which accepted him and transferred his records. He earned his Bachelor of Law degree from UCLA on August 11, 1956.
Adams sat for the Nevada State Bar examination in Reno in September 1956 and was admitted to the Nevada State Bar on October 24, 1956. He began his practice in association with attorney Michael Hines and then with Oscar Bryan, father of Governor Richard Bryan, before establishing himself as an independent practitioner. Over the course of his career he maintained the same Las Vegas office for roughly 50 years.
Regarded as an old-school Las Vegas attorney, Adams represented thousands of clients across his decades in practice. He remained active in the profession for well over half a century until his death on October 15, 2012.
