Howard Goldstein

Howard Goldstein was born January 16, 1942, in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He built his legal career in the American West, practicing law for eight years at the Las Vegas firm of Kolesar & Leatham, where he concentrated on real estate development and finance matters during his years in Nevada.

He later relocated to Southern California, where he continued to practice law at Samuels, Green & Steel in Irvine, California, remaining an active attorney until his death. Colleagues and family remembered him not only as a practitioner of the law but as a genuinely creative spirit - an abstract painter and a maker of distinctive hats.

Howard Goldstein died January 18, 2010, at the age of 68. He is survived by his sons, Matthew and Jeremy; his longtime companion, Tania; and his brother, Larry.
