Ira H. Lurvey

Ira H. Lurvey was a family law attorney whose practice was centered in Los Angeles, California. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on December 1, 1966, he built a career devoted to matrimonial and family law over the decades that followed.

Mr. Lurvey was a leader in his field, serving as president of the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers from 1991 to 1992. His standing among his peers reflected a long commitment to the practice and advancement of family law.

Beyond his practice, Mr. Lurvey contributed to the profession as an author, writing the treatise 'California Family Law: Practice and Procedure,' a multi-volume reference work published by Matthew Bender that addressed the full range of California family law matters. He passed away on January 26, 2003, at the age of 67.
