Jack Jay Pursel

Jack J. Pursel was born on September 14, 1921, in Des Moines, Iowa, and moved with his family to Las Vegas in 1939. During World War II he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served as a decorated B-24 pilot, flying many missions in the South Pacific.

After the war, Jack pursued a career in law, earning a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California. He was admitted to the Nevada Bar in 1950 and went on to practice law for more than 55 years, building a long career in the Las Vegas legal community, including practice at the family firm of Pursel & Pursel Ltd.

Jack J. Pursel passed away on September 4, 2015, at the age of 93. His decades of dedication to the practice of law in Nevada left a lasting mark on the legal profession he served for over half a century.
