Donna M. Sweger

Donna Marie Sweger was a Nevada attorney who devoted her legal career to public service on behalf of the state's injured workers. A lifelong Nevadan, she graduated from Reno High School and the University of Nevada, Reno, before earning her Juris Doctorate from the Nevada School of Law. She was a member of the State Bar of Nevada.

For roughly two decades, Ms. Sweger practiced law in Carson City with the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers, a division of the State of Nevada, representing claimants in workers' compensation matters. Her long tenure in that office reflected a sustained commitment to advocating for working Nevadans.

Beyond her legal work, Ms. Sweger was a past board member of the Nevada Women's Fund and a longtime supporter of the Nevada Self Help organization and numerous other charities. She was remembered by colleagues and friends as a generous and caring person whose strength of character and zest for living left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
