James T Winkler

James T. Winkler, of Henderson, Nevada, was a longtime labor and employment attorney whose career spanned more than five decades. Born April 22, 1946, he was first admitted to practice in California in 1972 and was later admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1997, bringing his labor-law practice to the Las Vegas area.

Mr. Winkler concentrated his practice in employment law and matters arising under collective bargaining agreements. He served as lead counsel in the United States Supreme Court labor case of McNeff v. Todd, and as lead counsel in the landmark 'salting' case of Irwin Industries, Inc. Over the course of his career he was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth and District of Columbia Circuits, as well as the United States Supreme Court.

He passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 77.
