Peter L. Knight

Peter Lawrence Knight built his career in the law, dedicating his professional life to the practice of law in Nevada. Over the course of that career he served the public as District Attorney of Nye County, a role in which he represented the interests of the county and its residents in the administration of justice.

A longtime resident of Las Vegas, Mr. Knight was known first and foremost as a lawyer whose work carried him from private practice into public service. His tenure as a prosecutor for Nye County reflected a commitment to the courts and communities of Nevada that spanned much of his adult life.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife, Betty; six children; and seven grandchildren. He is remembered for the family he raised and the legal career he devoted himself to across the state.
