James William Erbeck

James William Erbeck was a longtime Nevada attorney whose legal career spanned public service and private practice. Born May 4, 1951 in Teaneck, New Jersey, he earned his undergraduate degree from Colgate University and his law degree from the New England School of Law in Boston before building his professional life in southern Nevada.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Erbeck served in a range of legal roles across both government and private sectors. He worked in the Clark County District Attorney's Office and served with the United States Attorney for the District of Nevada, in addition to maintaining a private legal practice. Most recently, he served as the Chief Deputy City Attorney for the City of Las Vegas.

Mr. Erbeck passed away July 23, 2014 at his home in Boulder City, Nevada, at the age of 63. He is remembered for a legal career dedicated to public service in the Nevada legal community.
