Jason M. Moss was a Nevada attorney who built his legal career in criminal defense in the Las Vegas area. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude, he went on to complete his law degree at the University of Michigan Law School in 2002. He was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 11, 2002.
Mr. Moss established a criminal defense practice in Henderson, Nevada, dedicating his professional life to representing clients in criminal matters. Before entering law, he had completed internships with the U.S. Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms following his undergraduate studies, experiences that reflected his early and enduring interest in criminal justice.
Beyond his legal work, Mr. Moss was known as the co-author of the 1999 book "The Last Victim: A True-Life Journey into the Mind of the Serial Killer," which drew on a research project he began during college and became a national bestseller. He passed away on June 6, 2006, at the age of 31.
