Jay S. Hawkins

Jay Samuel Hawkins - known to family and friends as Sam - was born January 29, 1978, in Provo, Utah, the fourth of seven children. He spent his early years in Utah before his family moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1987. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 1996 and later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil.

Sam earned a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University in 2001, and went on to graduate with Honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2006. That same year he was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada. He was honored to serve as an Associate at the Las Vegas firm of Alverson Taylor, where he took great satisfaction in his work and valued the many friendships he made there.

Jay Samuel Hawkins passed away December 10, 2006, in Summerlin, Nevada, after a battle with lymphoma. He is remembered for his lifelong pursuit of excellence, his devotion to his family, and a legacy of service to others.
