Jeffrey Nyman Clontz

Jeffrey Nyman Clontz was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from Las Vegas High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he pursued his education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and went on to earn his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.

Mr. Clontz began his legal career as a law clerk before joining the Nevada Gaming Control Board. He later entered private practice as an attorney in Las Vegas. For the final chapter of his career, he served as the attorney for the Riverside in Laughlin, working with Don Laughlin for 11 years before his retirement.

Remembered by colleagues as a skilled lawyer with a brilliant and generous mind, Mr. Clontz mentored those who worked alongside him and left a lasting professional and personal impact on the Laughlin community. He passed away Nov. 17, 2009, at the age of 63.
