Jeremy M. Welland

Jeremy Michael Welland was born on November 10, 1986. A native Canadian, he grew up in Ontario before pursuing his education in the United States, studying neurology at Brown University and later earning his law degree from the University of Arizona.

Jeremy built a career as a lawyer that spanned roughly a decade. It was in Las Vegas, in 2011, that he met his wife, Kehler, marking the beginning of both his professional life in the law and his life together with her. A lifelong learner, he was known for teaching himself Chinese, Spanish, and chess in addition to his formal studies.

Ever curious and driven to grow, Jeremy eventually returned to school after his years in the legal profession, enrolling at Johns Hopkins University to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 37.
