Col. Jerry Wright Osgood

Colonel Jerry Wright Osgood - known to many as "Wiz" - was born in Arkansas and grew up in Starkville, Mississippi, where he attended college. He devoted the first chapter of his professional life to the United States Air Force, flying in Vietnam and rising to positions of significant command. He served as Commander of the 507th TAIRCW in South Carolina, as Wing Commander of the 23rd Tactical Fighter Wing in Louisiana, and later as head of the military attachés in South Africa.

After a distinguished military career, Colonel Osgood turned to the practice of law. He returned to school to earn his law degree and, upon passing the Nevada bar, was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 2, 1989. This second calling reflected the same discipline and commitment to service that had marked his years in uniform.

Colonel Osgood later made his home in Galt, California, where he enjoyed golf, skiing, and traveling. He passed away on October 15, 2020, at the age of 84. He is remembered for a life of dedicated service to his country and to the profession of law.
