Joe E. Nusbaum

Joe E. Nusbaum was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on September 26, 1979. In 1980, Gov. Robert List appointed him chairman of the Nevada Industrial Commission, a position he held until retiring from his professional career in 1982.

Before moving to Nevada, Mr. Nusbaum served in administrative government positions in Wisconsin under Govs. Gaylord Nelson and Pat Lucey, and worked as business manager of Western Washington State College in Bellingham. As a young man, he had spent his summers working in Yellowstone National Park.

Mr. Nusbaum settled in Boulder City, Nevada, in 2000. He died on September 2, 2006, at his home in Boulder City at the age of 82.
