John L. Duffy

John Leo Duffy was born in 1961 in New Jersey and built his life and legal career in the American West. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1979, where he lettered in football, went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Regis University in Denver in 1985, and completed his legal education at the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1988.

After law school, John passed the bar examination in both Colorado and Nevada. He settled in Las Vegas in 1995, where he practiced criminal defense law for nearly 25 years. Over the course of that career he became a fixture of the Las Vegas defense bar, dedicating himself to representing clients throughout southern Nevada.

John L. Duffy died on December 10, 2020, in Las Vegas at the age of 59. He is remembered for his long service to the Nevada legal community and to the many people he represented over his years of practice.
