John Roy Bell

John Roy "Jack" Bell was a Las Vegas attorney known within the Nevada legal community for his honesty, integrity, and kindness. Born March 1, 1971, in Bangor, Maine, he graduated from St. Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont, in 1993 with a double major in political science and economics, and went on to study law at SUNY Buffalo, earning his law degree in 1996.

Jack moved to Las Vegas in 1998 and was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 12, 1999. Over the course of his career he worked with a number of law firms, building a practice focused on construction law. He ultimately became a partner in the firm Pengilly, Robbins, Slater and Bell, where his name stood alongside those of his colleagues.

Regarded warmly by his peers, Jack was remembered for the character he brought to his work and to the Las Vegas law community. He passed away on June 21, 2012, at the age of 41.
