John Sanchez

John Sanchez was born on May 16, 1924, in Azusa, California, to Alejo Sanchez and Magdalena Ortiz. He pursued his higher education at the University of Nevada, Reno, and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Utah.

Before his legal career, John served his country as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division during World War II, seeing action at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge.

John was a well-known resident of Reno and a practicing attorney there for more than 50 years, a career spanning the better part of his adult life. He passed away at his home in Reno, Nevada, on July 27, 2009, at the age of 85. He was survived by his wife, Eleanor, and his son, David.
