Kenneth C. Rollston

Kenneth Carl Rollston was born November 14, 1944, in Burbank, California. He earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University in 1966, where he played varsity baseball, and went on to receive his law degree from Columbia Law School in 1969. He was admitted to the California bar in 1970 and began practicing law in the Lake Tahoe Basin in 1974.

Mr. Rollston built a distinguished legal career on the shores of Lake Tahoe, practicing across both the Nevada and California sides of the basin. He served as the original staff attorney for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and provided legal counsel to the City of South Lake Tahoe and the South Tahoe Public Utility District. He was a founding and named partner of Rollston, Henderson & Johnson, Ltd., a full-service firm based in Stateline, Nevada, serving clients throughout Douglas County and the surrounding Sierra region, with a practice spanning business law, real estate, and estate planning.

Beyond his legal work, Mr. Rollston was a devoted contributor to his community. He served on the Lake Tahoe Community College District Board for 25 years, holding the presidency four times, and was a champion of the local Court Appointed Special Advocate program. He also coached youth baseball, sharing a lifelong love of the game. Kenneth C. Rollston died January 3, 2017.
