Kristin A Wilday

Kristin Anne Schneider Ryan Wilday, an attorney in Nevada, passed away on May 1, 2019, in Reno at the age of 53. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 4, 1993, she built her professional life in the field of law after numerous academic achievements. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Lawrence Schneider, founder of the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, and of Karen Hull.

Colleagues remembered Kristin as an accomplished lawyer whose career included service as Lead Law Clerk for Chief Judge Procter Hug Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those who worked alongside her described her as a brilliant, kind-hearted, and dedicated attorney.

Beyond her legal work, Kristin was known for her warmth, her faith, her love of animals, and her passion for cooking, gardening, and scrapbooking. She is survived by her husband Zachary, her brother Brandt Schneider, her four children - Tanner, Zachary, Nathan, and Katherine Ryan - and her step-daughters April and Amber Wilday.
