Lizzie R. Hatcher

Lizzie R. Hatcher, Esq., was a longtime member of the Nevada bar, admitted to practice on January 13, 1983. She built her career in Las Vegas, where she practiced as a solo attorney under her own name and concentrated her work in criminal law, including driving-while-intoxicated and drug cases, as well as bankruptcy matters.

Mrs. Hatcher was among the African American women attorneys who helped shape the legal community of Las Vegas. She was associated with the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association, and her photograph is preserved in that organization's archive housed at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law - a lasting record of her place in the city's legal history.

Born on February 8, 1954, Lizzie Hatcher passed away on August 15, 2024. She will be cherished and remembered through the legacy of her family and friends, and honored for the inspiring life she led in service to her clients and her profession.
