Luc-Andre Odabashian

Luc-Andre Odabashian was born in Beirut, Lebanon, where he attended French school before immigrating and building his life and legal career in the United States. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and earned his law degree at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Fluent in five languages, he was admitted to practice in both California and Nevada.

Mr. Odabashian began his legal career in 1986 at the firm of McKiernan, Gurrola, Moriwaki and Brady, and also served as in-house counsel for a fledgling diamond mining company. In 1991 he joined the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, serving as lead attorney to HUD's Departmental Enforcement Center in Los Angeles, and from 2004 as Associate Regional Counsel for Program Enforcement in Los Angeles.

Over the course of his public service, Mr. Odabashian was recognized for excellence and integrity in his work. He received a Lifetime Award from HUD's Office of General Counsel, as well as the Curry Award - described as the highest honor bestowed by the Office of General Counsel at HUD. He died on July 3, 2014, at the age of 53.
